OVERVIEW : This position requires the ability to maintain, PM, troubleshoot and repair all current Wastewater processing equipment. Candidates will need to have working knowledge or the ability to learn hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, boilers, lite electrical skills and other skillsets associated with maintaining and repairing different kinds of Wastewater equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS : Ability to learn wastewater basics and achieve NC Wastewater License. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed (Occasional heavy lifting over 80 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds). Ability to access equipment for repairs (squat, bend, kneel). Ability to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Ability to climb and work off ladders and working platforms. Ability to fill out forms and record daily activities. As part of the machine technician team, this associate will be required to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and minor electrical as needed. This associate will also be expected to help cover other areas as a general mechanic as needed. REQUIREMENTS : Mechanical aptitude. Should have at least 1 year experience in an Industrial setting. Must have knowledge of how to use hand tools. Ability to read as well as understand instructions of mechanical, electronic, electrical, manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Excellent attendance record. Excellent safety record and work habits. Able to work well with all departments. Able to work various shifts and work overtime as needed. Must be able to work weekends. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds. Ability to occasionally lift and move equipment weighing over 80 pounds. Ability to use hands and arms for handling tools, equipment, and controls. Ability to perform tasks in industrial and wastewater processing environments.
