More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ [https://www.sswtechnologies.com/] The Onsite Wastewater System Technician will operate or control an entire process or system of machines, often through the use of control boards, to transfer or treat water or wastewater. This is a second shift position, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, Mon-Thurs. with possible overtime on Fridays as needed.  Key Responsibilities: 1. Operates and maintains proper operation of the treatment plant to control flow and adjustment of valves.  2. Perform daily inspection of treatment plant probes, pumps, filters, tanks, and controllers.  3. Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine proper requirements.  4. Provide proper records of the plant as well as discharge levels.  5. Provide weekly samples for analysis.  6. Conducts sampling duties in compliance with state and federal regulations.  7. Conducts a variety of process tests for the detection of heavy metals and pH ranges.  8. Monitors sludge levels in process tanks and filter press, performs necessary and routine maintenance of these items.  9. Assists with mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of process equipment.  10. Conducts general housekeeping and 5S building and ground cleanup of the west pad and/or waste treatment system and all its process stages as well as the 15-stage pre-treatment system as defined within the SOP.  11. Record daily readings of the treatment plant as well as daily water meter readings in specific areas throughout the production facility.  12. Other duties as assigned. Position Supervised or Directed: Reports to Wastewater/Pretreatment Supervisor.  Qualifications, Experience requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent * Licensed forklift operator * 1+ years of experience in wastewater/pretreatment working in a manufacturing environment. General Requirements: * Detailed and hands-on oriented. Working Conditions: * Manufacturing plant environment  * Frequently indoors * Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching.  * Occasionally exposed to high/cold temperatures, loud noises, and fumes.
