Position Summary: As Wastewater Technician II at Pentagon, you will be responsible for the mixing of chemicals, chemical analysis of tank compositions, and treating chemical waste from our facilities. Essential Duties: Includes but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned: Treat waste from processes and manage chemical waste, including filtration and the maintenance of chemical tanks. Collect and review data related to instrument performance, part pass/fail rates, and inventory usage, collaborating with engineering on baseline data monitoring. Inspect and process components from initial stage to completion, maintaining quality control Support Chemists and Senior Wastewater Laboratory Technicians as needed. Maintain equipment calibration and operational status; participate in safety training as required. Communicate status updates, incidents, and requests with team members. Qualifications Your Experiences, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or GED required; technical course work preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater operations Proficient with SCADA, GID and Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of confined space entry, trench safety and hazardous materials handling Excellent communication, troubleshooting and leadership skills Strong mathematical skills for processing inventory and performing complex calculations related to chemistry concentrations. Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols, particularly in relation to hazardous waste management. Knowledge of machinery and pumps related to wastewater treatment processes. Safety: Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a group environment and be a self-starter. Must be able to work in a controlled arsenic environment. Must be able to perform in noisy, moist, or wet, and hazardous materials environments with standard protection devices. Must be able to handle necessary tools to perform tasks, including manual and mechanized material handling equipment for moving heavy loads through the production environment with little assistance. Must be able to work in a controlled chemical environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position. Physical Demands: Must pass Company required screening tests. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance. Will on a regular basis push or pull heavy loads (up to 750 lbs.) with basic material handling equipment.
