Job Details Responsibilities Boiler Operations: Tend boilers to maintain correct pressure and safe water levels; clean and recondition them for inspections. Routine Maintenance: Clean/change fuel oil strainers, replace packing glands on leaking valves, and lubricate power house equipment. System Testing: Run the diesel generator and air compressor weekly to ensure optimal operating conditions. Monitoring & Records: Take hourly readings on steam, oil, water, air, and AC equipment; maintain basic boiler room logs. Chemical Treatment: Safely add required chemicals to boilers and fuel oil tanks. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with high-pressure steam boilers required. License: Valid New York State (NYS) Driver's License required. Salary Range USD $27.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
