Water and Sewer Foreman (OUT OF TOWN WORK) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Water and Sewer Foreman to work on underground / water & sewer projects across Western Canada. Duties include (but are not limited to): Quality management – working with project management and survey / consultant teams to ensure that workmanship meets / exceeds specifications Health and safety management including hazard identification and analysis, worker competencies and HSE reporting Schedule management – ensure project timelines are maintained Provide supervision on site and daily direction to crew Delegation of tasks for all crew members Site maintenance – management of site housekeeping in accordance with client and company guidelines Lead inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity Required Skills: 3+ years of experience as an Underground Foreperson with sewer & water projects Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset Strong time management skills – able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion Organized and able to complete regular project documentation Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent Able to support other positions as needed Strong communication skills – able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail Proven leadership capabilities and able to mentor workers for advancement First Aid and other certifications are considered assets Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract Required Certifications: The following valid certifications are mandatory CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level 2 Standard First Aid Leadership for Safety Excellence Confined Space Entry Fall Protection
