WATER AND SEWER FOREMAN (OUT OF TOWN WORK)

Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Water and Sewer Foreman to work on underground / water & sewer projects across Western Canada. REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3+ years of experience as an Underground Foreperson with sewer & water projects
• Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset
• Strong time management skills – able to keep crews to task and maintain an established work schedule to complete the projects in a timely fashion
• Organized and able to complete regular project documentation
• Able to work independently and follow instruction from the superintendent
• Able to support other positions as needed
• Strong communication skills – able to delegate and provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail
• Proven leadership capabilities and able to mentor workers for advancement
• First Aid and other certifications are considered assets
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract

• Quality management – working with project management and survey / consultant teams to ensure that workmanship meets / exceeds specifications
• Health and safety management including hazard identification and analysis, worker competencies and HSE reporting
• Schedule management – ensure project timelines are maintained
• Provide supervision on site and daily direction to crew
• Delegation of tasks for all crew members
• Site maintenance – management of site housekeeping in accordance with client and company guidelines
• Lead inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
