WATER & SEWER LABOURER (OUT OF TOWN WORK)

Firma Contracting is currently seeking Labourers to work on underground projects located across Western Canada. We offer competitive wages for out of town work, LOA, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Previous construction experience is required
• Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.
• Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbs
• Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
• Positive attitude / team player
• Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction

• Physical tasks, including digging, sweeping, lifting, shoveling, and moving materials
• Ensure safety fences / barricades are all in place
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
• Actively participate in all safety meetings
• General site housekeeping
