The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. In this role, you will join a team of ten Operators responsible for ensuring the Western Bay of Plenty region’s water remains safe. The role includes daily maintenance activities, after-hours callouts, emergency response, reporting, and sampling to monitor plant performance and ensuring all treatment plants comply with regulatory requirements. The role will require being part of an on-call roster and to be available to attend to after hour callouts. Whether you are an experienced operator or someone with the right attitude and experience a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you. To set you up for success, you’ll have Experience operating water and/or wastewater treatment plants (or a similar industrial/process environment). A strong commitment to health and safety. Good problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A full New Zealand drivers licence.
