Water Damage Technician Lead
Winmar® provides emergency and reconstruction services to homes, businesses, industrial and institutional properties after they have been damaged by fire, water, sewage, mould, asbestos, vehicle impacts, etc. and we’re looking for a skilled individual to join our team
We are seeking a motivated and focused Water Damage Technician Lead to join our dynamic team.
Our goal is to build an elite Winmar® crew. The ideal candidate will represent our company well, have good time management skills, be detail oriented and want to be a part of a growing team.
Water damage in a home or business is one of the most stressful events our clients might ever experience. Water Damage Technician Leads at Winmar® do the work to evaporate water-related stress, bringing calm, order and dryness to all!
The Job – Water Damage Technician Lead
At Winmar®, Water Damage Technician Leads (WTLs) lead the team, going wherever a burst pipe, blocked drain, sewer backup (yes, sometimes it’s one of those situations) or other water-related disaster calls.
Understanding the urgency of the situation and working with customers in a caring, calm and empathetic manner are paramount to the success of a Lead WTLs day!
What you bring:
A Lead WTL brings a host of abilities to their work with a ‘get it done!’ attitude.

Additional abilities include:

  • Knowledge of structural drying procedures
  • Ability to perform structural drying assessments in accordance with IICRC guidelines
  • Ability to complete multi-unit structural drying assessments
  • Leadership abilities and experience leading a team
  • Experienced with all drying tools (air movers, negative air machines, pressurized drying systems, floor drying systems, dehumidifiers)
  • Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
  • Physically fit
  • A safety-first mindset
  • IICRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record (we do check)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written (dealing with Insureds, staff and management)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate

Past industry experience that can translate into success as a WTL includes: Water Damage Manager, lead hand, or Water Damage Technician.
