Job Description AECOM’s Water Infrastructure group delivers critical projects across water and wastewater treatment, dams, conveyance systems, industrial water, asset management, civil infrastructure, and more. As a Water Engineering Intern, you’ll gain exposure to all phases of project delivery, from design to construction support, while learning from some of the industry’s best. How you’ll make a difference: Support the design and planning of water and wastewater infrastructure (typically pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants) by helping with calculations, drafting inputs, and documentation under guidance. Collaborate with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, helping to coordinate tasks and contribute to integrated solutions. Assist in preparing technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documentation, including compiling data, preparing figures, and drafting sections for review. Help with tendering activities, site inspections, and construction-phase services by organizing information, taking notes, and preparing follow-up actions as directed. Work closely with clients and stakeholders by supporting meetings, preparing presentation materials, and helping with responses to queries to deliver impactful water infrastructure outcomes. Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027. Potential to continue on a part time basis after the summer internship, during your final year of study, depending on project needs.
