Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to design and implement water network improvement programs to meet strategic objectives for water leakage, informed by customer insights, stakeholders, performance data/analytics, and research, balancing cost and risk.
’Our Water, Our Voice’ highlighted the priority Sydney Water’s customers places on minimising water leakage. Customers told us they see water leakage as a wastage and highly undesirable. While removing 100% water leakage may not be the most economical way to secure water reliability, customers wish Sydney Water to better manage leaks from pipe networks to ensure the efficient use of a scarce and valuable resource.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to water efficiency, water conservation, leakage, continuity and pressure management strategies and policies to ensure Sydney Water’s short-, medium- and long-term strategic outcomes are delivered.
  • Lead the development of cross-enterprise projects for water conservation, water leakage, water continuity and pressure, to meet performance and strategic outcomes.
  • Manage the effective delivery of the work program including monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance, effectiveness and benefits realisation.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through task clarity and resourcing, including performance feedback and transparent progress reporting.
  • Work collaboratively across Sydney Water to develop key insights, tools and processes required to manage and improve performance.
  • Review industry best practice and benchmarks, incorporating insights into plans and programs.
