As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome a new Water Service & Mains Team Leader for the Yorkshire Water to contribute to our success. Maintain own and others health and safety Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructed Follow health and hygiene rules Ensure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised. Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus Manhandle materials, plant and equipment Install pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards ensuring, in particular, that good jointing and hygiene practices are followed Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposes Operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard Assist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company business Maintain safety, environmental and quality records Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentation Undertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervision Qualifications Water Safety ‘Passport’ (EUSR) National Water Hygiene registration (EUSR) NRSWA (Units 1-3 minimum) CSCS card Cat & Genny Additional Information Benefits: Bike to work scheme Company pension Life insurance Private medical insurance Wellness programmes DBS Check Required: No Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
