You’ll collaborate across business units to influence outcomes with innovative, strategic, and technical advice. You’ll also work alongside experienced water professionals, leveraging integrated data platforms (e.g., GIS, SCADA, BI) to identify solutions in a large urban water utility. Some of your key accountabilities / projects will include:

  • Lead the development of monthly reporting and benefits analysis, as well as a focused quarterly report, to monitor and highlight the performance and impact of Water Quality Analysers across the network.
  • Interpret data and develop clear reporting formats to ensure effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of ISO22000, including:
  • Reviewing current practices and assessing alignment with ISO22000 requirements and preparing a detailed report.
  • Collaborating with the Manager to support potential submission to a governance committee.
  • Perform data assessments and generate Business Intelligence (BI) reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Undertake field chlorine testing and mapping to monitor and verify water quality across the network
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this 6-month contract role, you’ll help assess water quality performance across the drinking water and recycled water networks, providing specialist scientific and technical expertise to support the delivery of safe water to our customers.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or engineering with emphasis on chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry or public health.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to recognise, investigate and solve problems of a complex scientific nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality reports and data analysis that demonstrates technical knowledge & decision making.
  • Previous experience in the water industry and/or knowledge of drinking water and/or recycled water management practices; and knowledge of legislation and/or guidelines related to drinking and/or recycled water.
  • Excellent interpersonal, consultative and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
