Join our Central Services team as a Water Quality Compliance Officer, where you’ll help ensure clean, safe, and compliant water across all Fortescue operations. You’ll collaborate widely, analyse data that matters, and make a tangible impact on the health and safety of our workforce and the environment.Key Responsibilities Be the go-to support for all things water quality — providing training, guidance and expertise to help teams meet the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG). Compile, interpret and report on water quality data for drinking water, wastewater and recreational water programs. Identify non-compliances, coordinate corrective actions and help drive continuous improvement. Prepare clear and accurate technical reports, procedures and documentation. Provide timely, practical advice on water and wastewater systems to internal stakeholders. Support the Water Quality Compliance Specialist with risk identification and assessment. Build strong, collaborative relationships across Infrastructure Services, Village and Mine Operations, Projects, Strategic Planning, Asset Management and HSE, as well as with laboratories, consultants and the WA Department of Health. Promote Fortescue’s safety-first culture — take part in training, report hazards, and champion safe work practices every day. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, preferably specialising in environmental, chemical, or water-related fields with a strong focus on water quality and management. Experience in water quality compliance or monitoring, ideally across drinking water and/or wastewater systems. Working knowledge of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and the 12-element framework. Confident analysing data and communicating insights in plain, clear language. Detail-driven with strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills. Proactive, collaborative and passionate about sustainability, safety and doing meaningful work.     Why Fortescue?
