Are you passionate about engineering solutions, data-driven decision-making, and modernizing water resource management systems? The State Water Resources Control Board’s Office of Information Management & Analysis (OIMA) is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Water Resource Control Engineer (WRCE) to enhance data integration, analysis, and system performance for critical statewide water programs.
As a WRCE in the Data Integration & Analysis Unit (DIAU), you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining data platforms, such as the California Integrated Water Quality System (CIWQS), while collaborating with information technology (IT) specialists, engineers, and scientists to improve data accessibility, system efficiency, and analytical capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy problem-solving, working with complex data systems, and leveraging technology to support California’s water resource planning, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability goals.
The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and in-office days are based on operational needs of the position. The office is at 1001 I Street, 19th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814 right in the heart of Downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.
