Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Training to join our team.

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

Required:

  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, or similar. Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam.

  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • 1-5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Land Development teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
  • Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
  • Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Participate in field work as needed.
