POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in water resources engineering and a passion for client engagement. This seller-doer role is ideal for someone who thrives in both technical leadership and business development, and is ready to make a meaningful impact across Minnesota.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering, including project management and client-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, with strong financial acumen.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and juggling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Minnesota and nearby regions for client and project needs.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment requirements including background checks and screenings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful track record in competitive RFP/Q pursuits for water resources projects.
  • PE license in Minnesota or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in SWMM and HEC-RAS for stormwater and floodplain modeling.
  • Familiarity with Minnesota water regulations, permitting, and watershed district processes.
Responsibilities
  • Lead water resources projects from planning through execution, focusing on stream stability, flood resiliency, and stormwater management.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders across Minnesota to build relationships, identify opportunities, and support proposal development.
  • Serve as a technical leader, providing QA/QC oversight and mentoring junior staff within the Water Resources Practice.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions and support regional growth initiatives.
