Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.
Join our team who operate and maintain Whangarei’s water reticulation networks - bring your water knowledge & experience to Downer.

Your duties could include:

  • Routine and planned preventative maintenance, installation, and repairs on water assets such as water pipes & mains
  • Installation and/or repairs of water meters
  • Once trained, responding to urgent call-outs throughout the Auckland region
  • A hands-on role in completing work safely and meeting our client and the needs of the contract

NGA PŪKENGA MATUA | IMPORTANT SKILLS

You will have a great attitude, be reliable and hardworking and will bring with you:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil construction, drainage, labouring, plumbing, or agricultural work, preferably in water, wastewater, and stormwater, though this is not essential.
  • Proven experience or a strong interest in water reticulation.
  • A full Class 1 driver’s license is required; having a Class 2 and WTR is an advantage.
