He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role Based in Mangere, our Maintenance Services Network (MSN) team have an exciting opportunity for a Water Serviceperson to join the team. In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include: Installations and repair of water pipes and mains, fire hydrants and new water meters Relocation of existing water connections Maintenance on water networks Operation of small diggers and loaders to excavate and backfill Watercare assets Minor infrastructure upgrades Work as part of the team on-call standby roster Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you In this role you will bring: Confidence in operating a variety of hand tools and small plant machinery? A great work ethic and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Relevant industry experience within the Water industry A full, clean NZ Drivers Licence (Class 1). A Class 2 licence or R, T, W, F, D endorsements will be advantageous. A commitment to Health and Safety Ability to work as part a roster which will include shifts out of normal business hours and weekend work. A willingness to complete further studies and work towards the Water Industry Infrastructure works qualification through Connexis. You will be an excellent communicator, engaging with a high standard of customer service as you will regularly interact with our customers and members of the public.
