Summary of Position CKB Construction is a privately owned company with over 40 years specializing in Municipal Water & Sewer Construction & Rehabilitation along with Sewer Outfall Construction & Rehabilitation. The foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the project site by ensuring that safety, quality & production requirements are being met while supporting their crews through changing work environments. Role and Responsibilities Supervise and direct Employees/Supplier/Subs Mentor and provide training to crew if required Maintain morale and with HR/Superintendent support provide discipline when required Be an immediate safety resource on day-to-day items Support HSE team when required (reporting investigations, inspections, corrective actions etc.) Ensure Superintendent(s) are informed of any project complications Ensure materials for upcoming work are readily available Submit PO’s, time & CB Sheets daily Inspect quality of materials as they arrive to site Photograph before/after pictures during construction Responsible for Tool, laydown & rental inventory and resupplying when required Other duties as required Qualifications, Training and Education Class 5 driver’s license CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Fall Protection H2S Alive Confined Space Rescue Able to lift 60 lbs. unaided Standard First Aid LSE The following training would be considered assets: Rigging & Hoisting Crane Signals course/experience (Asset) Working Conditions Workers are expected to do physically demanding work in different positions (kneeling, standing, etc.). The successful applicants will be working outdoors in dusty and underground environments, including sewers, through all weather conditions.
