Job Summary:   As a Manufacturing Water Spider at our upgrade shop, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components throughout the manufacturing process. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain an efficient and organized workflow, facilitating the timely completion of tasks related to upgrading, grinding, welding, NDE inspections, dimensional checks, RT (radiographic testing), machining, and heat treatment of castings.   Job Qualifications:   Education:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Vocational training in welding, mechanical technology, or a trades area is preferred.   Experience:  Certification or training in material handling or logistics. Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for inventory management. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.   Skills:  Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with material handling equipment and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with multiple departments and team members. Knowledge of inventory control and basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory tracking. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently as well as part of a team.     Job Duties and Responsibilities:   * Coordinate and oversee the movement of materials, tools, and components within the shop floor to support uninterrupted production. * Collaborate with various departments to ensure the timely delivery and availability of materials required for specific manufacturing processes. * Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and initiating replenishment orders as needed. * Optimize material handling procedures to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency. * Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. * Assist in the setup and breakdown of workstations to facilitate smooth transitions between production phases. * Conduct regular inspections of materials and components for quality assurance purposes. * Document and report any issues related to material shortages, damages, or discrepancies.     Physical and Mental Efforts:   General:   Extensive mobility required and ability to lift objects of various weights.  The position requires the ability to lift objects weighing more than 75 pounds occasionally; to walk and stand for long periods; to see objects closely; and to hear everyday sounds.  The position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail despite interruptions and to attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.     Must have natural or corrected near distance visual acuity capable of reading J-1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger Test Chart.   Must be able to distinguish and differentiate contrasts between colors.  Must be capable of passing a brightness discrimination test on an annual basis
