Job Description: Water Technician
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
Schedule: Up to 21 days on / 4 days off (or longer, depending on upcoming jobs)
Starting Rate: $23.00/hr for green hands

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk distances.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to the job site.
  • Experience with lease road driving.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work day/night shifts and be away from home for long periods.
  • Have a relatable labor background (e.g., service or drilling rigs, pipeline testing, mechanical work).
  • Experienced in shift work and outdoor environments, especially during winter.
  • Outdoor enthusiast (e.g., fishing, hunting, hiking).
Responsibilities
  • Rigging hose lines and operating large hydraulic pumps for water transfer.
  • Utilizing equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and off-road vehicles.
  • Conducting pressure testing and pigging of lines.
  • Monitoring pump pressures, gauges, RPMs, and water flow.
  • Performing hose testing, minor maintenance, and repairs.
