WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Account Manager who demonstrates:

  • Strong technical skills: Confident in carrying out steam boiler, cooling tower, and closed system water analysis.
  • Commercial acumen: Able to upsell chemicals and water treatment equipment, and grow a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Excellent communication: Build lasting client relationships, resolve issues professionally, and lead by example.
  • Operational focus: Capable of delivering high standards of contract management and ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
  • Team leadership: Support Account Supervisors and Engineers, guiding technical decision-making and performance management.

JOB PURPOSE / OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Regional Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing water treatment accounts to ensure exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, and outstanding financial and operational performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Promote a full suite of water compliance services and solutions.
  • Oversee contract delivery, ensuring all service elements meet agreed KPIs.
  • Conduct on-site water treatment testing and deliver technical solutions to clients.
  • Attend review meetings, respond to client queries, and oversee remedial works as needed.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and tender submissions.
  • Lead financial and operational oversight including monthly reporting and cost control.
  • Issue site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Provide leadership support to Account Supervisors—approving measures, managing issues, and training staff.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and sub-contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
  • Manage onboarding for new site staff, including second-stage interviews.
  • Conduct Legionella Compliance Reviews and ensure contract compliance documentation is complete.
  • Authorise leave, manage team resourcing, and address performance concerns appropriately.
