Position Overview: We’re hiring a full-time Water Treatment Field Service Engineer to serve the Metropolitan Detroit area. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining water quality, ensuring efficient systems, and providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Client Support: As a member of our team, you will support a range of commercial and industrial clients. Your role will involve working on systems such as cooling towers, boilers, process water, and industrial wastewater. We are committed to delivering top-notch water treatment solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client. You will receive dedicated support from an extended team to ensure our clients receive the best possible service. What we offer: Competitive Compensation: Salary range $65,000-$85,000 based on experience. Main responsibilities of the position include: Providing regular service to existing customers including testing and analyzing water samples, reviewing systems, evaluating and adjusting equipment. Independently plan and organize your customers service calls on an efficient and optimal schedule Solving varied and unique customer problems through analyzing, interpreting, and making deductions from varying facts and circumstances. Maintaining customer relationships through strong account management and acting as an adviser and consultant to customers. Obtaining orders or contracts for services from customers. Working independently and exercising discretion and independent judgment. Continued learning and education of water treatment systems, methods, chemistry, etc. Communicating with customers, other Service and Water Quality Engineers, and Service Manager. Requirements Experience with engineering, chemistry, water treatment or related areas. Current/prior working experience with a water treatment or HVAC company is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude. College degree is preferred, but if the candidate has no degree, then the candidate must have obtained knowledge in the field through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction. Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, be trustworthy and be self-motivated. Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Drug Screening Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving to customer sites Must be in good physical condition: frequent walking to customer sites, may perform physical work such as climbing stairs or ladders, sometimes moving drums of chemical Must be willing to work in environments with hot and cold temperatures, exposure to chemicals, noise, wearing proper PPE on face, ears, hands Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in English Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
