Description

Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is seeking a Water Treatment Technical Sales Representative to join their industry leading sales team. You will be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. Using a consultative sales approach, you will build relationships with existing customers by executing system warranty programs that meet their business needs. With strong sales leadership, you will also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to existing customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Live in one of the following locations: Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, Barbados or Saint Kitts & Nevis.
  • Availability to travel to different Caribbean islands during 25 of the 30 days of the month
  • University studies in Chemical or Mechanical engineering
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the area of sales and technical support in water treatment
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual vehicles
  • Advanced English
  • Valid passport and U.S. visa
  • Availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm. But also be willing to attend emergencies during the weekend or extended hours
  • Proactivity, good communication taste for customer service and technical sales.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Working knowledge of cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems

Responsibilities
  • Generate and execute sales plans with existing customer on a competitive basis, to achieve profit growth targets
  • Work closely with the customer to understand business needs and recommend innovation and continuous improvement plans that will maintain and increase sales - attend regular meetings
  • Perform routine water testing and verify equipment condition
  • Develop strong relationships with the customer, including plant executives
  • Provide technical assistance to the customer; identifying and resolving challenges as needed
  • Engage in problem solving by performing systems analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are running at optimal levels
  • Actively sell and support Nalco Water’s innovations and technology at assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships
