Description:
Sumas Environmental Services is a leading environmental company in Western Canada, providing environmental services to our clients.
We have an immediate full-time position available for a treatment service technician to provide field for our clients throughout the Lower Mainland. As a Water Treatment Technician, you will be responsible for working with our customers on the installation, commissioning and operation of our water treatment systems on their sites for construction, remediation and industrial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair and operation of our custom-designed water treatment service equipment as scheduled, and as required by clients·
- Manage our clients` sites and optimize equipment, including troubleshooting for deficiencies both on a preventative basis and as advised by clients ·
- Accurately maintain work orders to reflect service provided to clients ·
- Calibrate equipment based on ongoing use ·
- Interpret results and adjust equipment according to the lab results ·
- Other related duties as requested
Qualifications: ·
- experience and/or education in the water treatment field ·
- Water treatment analysis experience ·
- Ability to apply in house training on water chemistry and the applicable environmental regulations ·
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools ·
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls ·
- Ability to work unsupervised ·
As noted this position is permanent-full time. Our core hours are 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday, but you may be required to work outside of those hours depending on client demand.
Overtime work and weekend work is common ·
Valid and current Class 5 Driver’s License is required as you will be expected to travel to our clients’ sites.
