Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead a variety of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of projects—from concept and planning through design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems, along with proven experience in project management and client service. This is a high-impact role with opportunities to lead teams, support business development, and mentor junior staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biological Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain licensure within one year.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering or project management.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in the water/wastewater sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project).

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience in membrane treatment systems, biosolids management, or renewable energy integration.
  • Demonstrated success in managing project budgets and deadlines in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities
  • Define project goals, scope, budget, and timelines in coordination with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and track project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, and issues, and report status to senior leadership.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings, public hearings, and work sessions as needed.
  • Assist clients with contractor selection and coordination during construction phases.
  • Process and manage change orders and contractual amendments for out-of-scope work.
  • Handle billing, invoicing, and collections in collaboration with accounting teams.
  • Lead business development efforts and help maintain long-term client relationships.
