✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or related drafting/design field
  • 3–10 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with water/wastewater systems and treatment processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design standards
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with hydraulic modeling tools (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater)
  • Familiarity with wellhead treatment systems and sustainable design practices
  • Exposure to permitting processes and environmental regulations
  • Ability to mentor junior CAD staff or coordinate small design tasks
  • Experience with Bluebeam and technical documentation tools
Responsibilities
  • Support the design of water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Draft construction documents including plans, profiles, and details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Assist with hydraulic modeling and calculations (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS preferred)
  • Prepare technical exhibits, figures, and design layouts for reports and submittals
  • Coordinate with engineers, CAD staff, and project managers to meet project goals
  • Review redlines and incorporate markups from sr. staff
  • Assist with permitting documentation and regulatory compliance (SDWA, NPDES, Title 22)
  • Participate in site visits and field data collection as needed
  • Maintain organized drawing sets and contribute to QA/QC processes
