Water/Wastewater EIT Department: Water/Wastewater Employment Type: Full Time Location: Murfreesboro, TN Description We're looking for a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the HMB team! Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and analysis of water resource projects, including drinking water and sanitary sewer collection network design. Perform hydraulic calculations utilizing computer modeling software and other industry-standard tools. Support permitting efforts by preparing technical reports, documentation, and regulatory applications. Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and data collection for utility design. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies. Prepare technical drawings, maps, specifications, contract documents, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software. Stay informed about industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. 0-4 years of experience in water resources engineering (internships or co-op experience is applicable). Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software. Proficiency in AutoCAD is desired. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
