As the Waterpark Manager, you will be a vital part of creating an environment of fun and participation while ensuring that the guests are enjoying the area safely. You will lead the waterpark staff in developing the best customer service skills and oversee the safe enjoyment of the facility.

Personal Skills

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when handling and recording payments.
  • Basic computer skills; will use computer software for guest transactions and employee timesheets.
  • Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times
  • Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Actively listens to others.
  • Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis

  • Must be a strong swimmer.
  • Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Waterpark
  • Interview, hire, train, discipline, schedule and approve time punches for staff and assist Dir. of Recreation with reviewing job performances.
  • Proper cash handling procedures to include Micros transactions.
  • Assist with balancing daily receipts, balance bank, complete all closing reports and deposits as needed.
  • Assist staff and guests when problems arise.
  • Will be required to work a flexible schedule, including Spring Break and all busy holidays, including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
  • Ensure staff has all the tools and supplies to complete their jobs successfully.
  • Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guest and staff, while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
  • Responsible for all inventories and purchase orders within the department.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safe work practices and document any unsafe areas or practices with written documentation and work orders when needed.
  • Will work in all other areas of the Recreation Department as needed to include, Bowling, Arcade, Mini Golf, and Fitness Center.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Department regarding the waterpark and log all related needs in a timely manner with follow-up.
  • Process all invoices.
  • Responsible for operating facilities within the parameters and guidelines set in the budget.
