Waveguide Technician (Assembly/Production)
We are a successful engineering business based in central Newton Abbot in Devon. We are looking for the right individual to join our team manufacturing waveguide components and systems.
We have a wide range of engineering processes involved in the manufacture of our product. The role is well suited to someone with experience of working in a manufacturing who enjoys teamwork in a stimulating and engaging environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The processes involved include the following: -

  • Torch brazing and soldering of Brass, Copper and Aluminium.
  • Forming (bending and twisting) of waveguide tube.
  • Powder coat painting

The role is varied and to a degree is flexible to an individual’s strengths. Ideally the right candidate will….

  • Be familiar with working engineering drawings.
  • Have experience of using handheld metrology equipment.
  • Have a good eye for detail.

Waveguide manufacture is a niche area of manufacturing, and we are used to bringing in people with fundamental skills and providing the training required to bring them up to speed with the requirements of our products.
This is a full-time permanent role; standard working hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm. However, it is not at all uncommon for us to expect 10 – 15% overtime when we are busy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 – 45 per week
