The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. The Warner Bros. Games Communications team shapes and amplifies the global narrative around one of the world’s premier interactive entertainment publishers, The team supports a diverse portfolio of acclaimed game studios and beloved franchises including Harry Potter, DC, Game of Thrones and Mortal Kombat by driving strategic communications across corporate, consumer, and brand channels. From launching major titles and supporting live service games, to managing media relations and high‑profile industry moments and events, the team plays a key role in elevating the Warner Bros. Games brand. Your Role Accountabilities Day-to-day roles & responsibilities include: Support press campaigns and events across the Warner Bros. Games portfolio. Research, track and compile media lists and media coverage. Draft and edit communications documents such as press releases, pitches, reports, etc. Work with external agency partners and other functional groups within Warner Bros. Games. Qualifications & Experience Play video games of any kind regularly Well-rounded knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and comic book culture Prior working experience in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, and/or any videogames-related capacity General understanding of PR concepts, practices, and tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent written and verbal communication; working knowledge of AP style Able to multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older) Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA). A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended. Warner Bros. What To Know Before Applying The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks. Program date options: Option 1: June 1st – August 14th Option 2: June 8th – August 21st Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided. Interviewing will take place from mid-February through early-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position.
