Description

THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE

The WCB Disability Coordinator plays a critical support role in managing workplace injury claims across the organization. This position serves as the primary liaison between the company and Workers’ Compensation Boards (WCB) across Canada, ensuring timely and accurate submission of documentation, tracking of claims, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Coordinator also collaborates closely with operations teams, employees, and the Workers’ Compensation Manager to investigate, document, and support claims and appeals, while helping drive early and safe return-to-work efforts.

REQUIREMENTS: APPLICATION PROCESS

We would like to thank all those expressing an interest in this position; however only the candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Before you start with us, we will conduct a criminal record check, verify your education, and check your references.

Responsibilities

Claims Management & WCB Interface

  • Liaise directly with WCB (Workers’ Compensation Board) on new and ongoing claims.
  • Investigate inconsistencies, initiate objections/appeals, and track claim status in XPRT.
  • Ensure all submissions meet regulatory deadlines and compliance standards.

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a point of contact between employees, supervisors, and WCB for incident and claim-related information.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and follow up on missing or unclear info.
  • Escalate issues to the Workers’ Compensation Manager when needed.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit required WCB forms (e.g., Form 7, recurrence claims).
  • Track time loss due to medical appointments and changes in work duties.
  • Provide documentation to employees and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal standards.

Earnings & Time Tracking

  • Process wage top-ups during medical absences or RTW (Return-to-Work) programs.
  • Use timesheets and manager input to verify absences and modified duties.

System Maintenance

  • Keep the XPRT system updated with claim numbers, case statuses, and WCB data for accurate reporting.

Non-Occupational Disability Management

  • Support admin tasks for non-occupational leaves (e.g., tracking leaves, follow-ups, submitting forms).
