WE’RE HIRING: PART-TIME ACCOUNTANT (CONTRACTOR – GERMANY BASED | REMOTE)

Location: Germany (Remote) – preferably Berlin
Experience Level: 3+ years in accounting or finance
Type: Part-Time Contractor (16 hrs/week – equivalent to 2 days/week, negotiable)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible

ABOUT AIHIA

AIHIA is a digital marketing and production agency based in Germany with a global footprint. We specialize in influencer campaigns, livestream productions, creative video content, and on-site events , primarily within the gaming and entertainment industries.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accountant (Contractor) to manage our financial operations, ensure compliance with German accounting standards, and support our international invoicing processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Based in Germany and eligible to work as an independent contractor (preferably Berlin)
  • Fluent in German & English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Solid understanding of German tax laws and accounting practices
  • Experience handling international invoicing and cross-border payments
  • Proficiency with easybill or similar multilingual invoicing tools
  • Must be able to organize and manage own schedule
  • Only working with B2B clients, invoices must be issued in English
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and trustworthy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the marketing, gaming, or Internet/IT industries
  • Additional language skills
  • Familiarity with multi-currency financial operations
Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping and accounting in compliance with European (and applicable international) standards
  • Process B2B invoices (issued in English) for a global client base and manage cross-border payments
  • Ensure tax compliance with European regulations and coordinate with local tax advisors
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and support annual closing activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal financial records
