Responsibilities

The Wealth Growth Leader (WGL) in Canada serves as the lead growth and sales strategy colleague for Wealth Solutions. This role has a dual reporting relationship to the Wealth practice and to the applicable Aon Canada Region Leader. The GWL is the point of contact for driving growth opportunities both from and to the Wealth Solutions business and is accountable for working with Regional Leaders, Account Executives, and Producers to introduce Wealth Solutions to clients and prospects within the region; as well as introducing broader Aon sales opportunities into the Wealth Solutions business. This specific role is responsible for leading sales efforts across all Wealth Solutions sub-practices (retirement, investment consulting, pension administration, and international retirement consulting) with a specific focus on our investment advisory and outsourced CIO solutions. WGLs also lead efforts to retain existing clients that have gone to, or are about to go to, RFP and serving as the single point of contact for Region Leaders within the country for updates and insights on the performance of the Wealth business and any trends driving those results.

  • First point of contact for all colleagues to prioritize Wealth sales and marketing opportunities,
  • Work closely with other Wealth segment leaders to monitor growth initiatives, clients in jeopardy and any broader Aon implications of Wealth Solutions work,
  • Support leaders’ efforts with quarterly business reviews and analysis of Wealth solutions sales/pipeline reports and business results,
  • Generate new opportunities and build relationships at targeted or key prospects or clients where we do not have an existing Aon relationship especially within the Investment business,
  • Assist in developing, executing, and maintaining Local Market Plans,
  • Drive consistency in our pricing and our offers across the country,
  • Qualify leads, making yes/no decisions based on solution line criteria,
  • Run the proposal process, including responding to the RFP, preparing finalist meeting material, and conducting rehearsals for large opportunities,
  • Coach and develop other Wealth Solutions colleagues, while living Aon’s values and leading by example to bring out the best in our colleagues,
  • Educate colleagues in the Enterprise Client Network organization and in other Solution lines about key Wealth Solutions offers, and
  • Improve Aon’s Wealth Solutions brand through marketing, client events, or speaking engagements
  • The relative strength/focus of a WGL should be on external marketing and spending time with clients/prospects. WGLs will not have responsibility for operations but will work closely with practice leadership to meet Aon Wealth growth goals. WGLs will have growth responsibility for the entire region across all of Wealth Solutions
  • Specific metrics, goals, and weightings such as revenue targets and sales growth are to be determined
