JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a reputable financial services firm, have the exciting opportunity for a Paraplanner or experienced Wealth Administrator to join their team in Edinburgh.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Industry relevant examination such as CII Level 4 Financial Planning qualification or working towards this is desired but not essential.
  • Client focused, delivering a high standard of client service.
  • Organisation of own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when writing reports.
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
Responsibilities
  • Producing simple new business reports including ISA/GIA top ups and pension transfers to a high standard and in line with suitability assurance programme requirements.
  • Creating ad hoc letters for clients including fund switches and withdrawals.
  • Support Advisers in ensuring the annual ongoing suitability targets are met by setting up meetings, attending meetings and completing the relevant post meeting documentation.
  • Support the Advisers with new business processing and onboarding journey on the CRM system, ensuring the system is kept up to date.
  • Help to input, manipulate and maintain prospect data on Xplan including management of Adviser pipeline.
  • Maintain compliant advice files in Practice Management System (Xplan).
  • Be a second point of contact for clients to assist with queries and updates on transfers.
  • Take responsibility to ensure that all client communication is accurate, appropriate & delivered at the right time, to include emails, letters and reports.
  • After appropriate training, the Paraplanner will be required to take dealing instructions directly from clients and the Advisers for ongoing placement including switches, rebalances, investing monies and raising funds.
  • Review and create procedures across the team as and when required.
  • Creating Statements of Suitability (SOS) for clients post meeting and ensure the annual review process is completed in a timely manner.
  • Continually look at ways to enhance operational systems and procedures to maximise efficiencies eg Xplan (practice management system).
  • Manage own workloads and that of the Advisers to ensure the best client experience is provided.
  • Filing, in accordance with FCA procedures.
