Description
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Weapons and Armament Architectures Lead Engineer to support an advanced air platform program focused on achieving and sustaining national air dominance. As part of MTSI’s Architectures and Systems Engineering (ASE) Group, this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role supports enterprise-level mission systems architecture and integration efforts across platforms and weapons. The successful candidate will provide senior technical leadership focused on mission systems architectures, with a strong emphasis on platform and weapons integration using modern, open, and data-centric frameworks. Responsibilities Serve as a technical lead for mission systems architectures with a strong focus on platform and weapons integration Lead and coordinate Government and industry consortiums supporting the development and maturation of Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) Provide direct technical support to platform and weapon program offices across the Department of the Air Force Drive integration of air vehicles and weapons with mission systems, autonomy, seekers, mission planning, data generation, software services, command and control, and weapon datalinks using modern, open-architecture frameworks Lead and support technical planning, architecture reviews, design reviews, test reviews, and technical assessments Develop and deliver technical briefings to senior technical and leadership audiences and support mission capability development across all phases of acquisition Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting mission systems architecture, weapons integration, platform integration, or related systems engineering efforts within complex, mission-critical environments Experience supporting integration of weapons or armament systems with platform-level mission systems Experience leading or significantly contributing to technical teams, architecture efforts, or Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing technical content to senior technical and leadership audiences Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, “tip of the spear” environment, with a strong willingness to learn and solve complex mission problems Desired Experience with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) and integration into operational weapon or mission systems Familiarity with open architecture frameworks such as OMS, WOSA, and data-centric system designs Experience supporting armament, weapons, or seeker integration efforts Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Familiarity with agile development and collaboration tools such as the Atlassian Suite Active TS/SCI clearance required. #LI-CH1 #ONSITE #Dragons #Rudy 0301043
