KTVZ News is looking for a Morning Meteorologist who can deliver accurate, clear, and engaging forecasts for Central Oregon’s #1 morning newscast in Bend, Oregon. Central Oregon offers one of the most exciting forecasting challenges in the Pacific Northwest. If you love connecting with viewers, making complex forecasts easy to understand, and turning local weather into compelling stories on multiple platforms, we’d love to hear from you. KTVZ News is community driven and locally focused, proudly owned by News-Press & Gazette. We believe local news should feel authentic, personal, and useful - especially in the morning when viewers are getting ready to start their day. A degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate complex science in a relatable way, works well in a fast-paced morning news environment, and is proficient with modern forecasting tools and digital weather platforms. Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
