KRDO13|ABC Affiliate  Emmy & Murrow Award Winning Station  Position Title: Weather Anchor  Requisition Number: 25- 1142     Do you want to work for Colorado Springs news leader? From reporters and managers to account executives and the production team, KRDO13 is always looking for the best and brightest talent for its television and radio programming. KRDO13 is a community-focused organization that delivers to audiences on four diverse platforms: ABC, Telemundo, AM&FM, and Digital.     Job Position Description:  KRDO13 is seeking a Weather Anchor for our weekday newscasts. This position will be a big part of our main anchor team and will have an expanded role beyond weather.  We are looking for a seasoned on-air personality who embraces our weather and station brand. The Weather Anchor will primarily focus on forecasts during newscasts but must also be comfortable anchoring news and playing a big role on the anchor desk. The Weather Anchor must be able to work closely with and under the direction of the Chief Meteorologist and news management.    Duties and Responsibilities:  * Deliver live forecasts and cut ins.  * Regularly produce content for station and professional digital platforms.  * Attend daily editorial meetings to give weather updates.  * Ability to weather report from the field and turn content for the newscasts  * Ability to shift schedule on short notice for coverage needs.  * Willingness to participate in station events and represent the station in the community.      Required Qualifications:  * 4+ years of news/weather anchoring experience at a commercial TV station.  * Meteorology degree preferred but not required.  * Shooting and editing experience.  * Ability to manage high pressure situations and maintain composure.  * Ability to work with staff of all levels and positions.  * Must possess strong “people skills,” high emotional intelligence and a solutions-oriented approach.  * Must have a valid driver’s license.        Benefits:   As an employee you will be eligible for:  * PTO (Paid Time Off), Sick Leave, & Personal Holidays  * Health, Dental, & Vision Coverages  * 401k with an Employer Match  * FSA (Flexible Savings Account) & HSA (Health Savings Account)  * Supplemental Life Insurance  * Long-Term Disability  * EAP (Employee Assistance Program)  * Referral Program Incentives   * Tuition Reimbursement  * Professional Development Opportunities    KRDO13 also offers company-paid Basic Life Insurance, Basic Dependent Life Insurance, and Basic AD&D coverage.      Annual Salary Range:   $70,000.00; based on experience.
