Description Position Data: Grade: 4 Non-Exempt Reports to: Weatherization Manager Basic Function or Position Summary: Perform basic energy efficiency and residential renovation projects including general construction, air sealing, insulation, plumbing, basic wiring, HVAC, siding, and roofing. Mon- Thurs. 7 am-4:30 pm $17.93/hourly 36 hours/weekly Requirements Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties: Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings Installation of fiberglass, cellulose, foam and pipe insulation Install dryer vents Taping, molding, to seal holes in existing walls and ceiling Install drywall, taping, and mudding Remove all types of siding on a home and replace Assist with hot water tank and heating system repair and replacement Plumbing repairs Basic Wiring repairs – switches, outlets, fixtures Use proper work lead smart, lead safe techniques using the HEPA vacuums Installation or repair of all types of HVAC Systems Caulking and sealing as needed of interior and exterior locations Equipment installations of energy saving devices such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, duct mastic, LED lighting, energy saving shower heads. Contribute to inventory control by reporting daily usage of materials Assist with daily testing requirements for health and safety or energy efficiency measures Maintain a clean work environment Promotes agency mission. Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics. Maintains consistent professional customer service. Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self-sufficiency. Other duties as designated by supervisor Key Working Relationships: A. Internal: Weatherization Specialist I, Weatherization Energy Auditor, Construction Weatherization Manager B. External: Customer Supervisory Scope: A. Number of staff supervised: 0 B. Titles supervised: 0 Organizational Responsibilities: Adheres to all policies and procedures Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate Participates in organizational and divisional management systems Knowledge, Skills Required: High school diploma or GED required One year of experience in construction, home repair, energy efficiency, trades; or providing manual labor required Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measures using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Strong teaming skills Continuous professional development expected Physical: Exerts heavy force in excess of 50 pounds Must be able to perform work in all weather conditions Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms, push or pull, climb ladders up to 35 feet, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, stand and sit Special Requirements, if any: Valid Drivers license Ability to travel Reliable transportation Flexibility in work schedule Authorized Driver of a COI vehicle, if all requirements are met Service area cross training Must provide own hand tools (see attached list) Ability to use a respirator. Required to attend Boot Camp Training and receive certification within 1 year and thereafter every 3 years. Required to receive OSHA 10 hour certification within 1 year. Required to receive Lead RRP certification within 1 year and thereafter every 5 years. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required Works compassionately with diverse population. Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times. Ability to develop and maintain & engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification (if applicable)
