Description Job Title: Weaving Associate Reports to: Weaving Supervisor Hours: 3:00PM-1:00AM SUMMARY The Weaving Associate is responsible for operating and maintaining all equipment located in the weaving department including but not limited to: Weaving Looms, Warpers, Blockers, Finish Ranges, Tie in Machines, Winders. RESPONSIBILITIES · Operate looms, monitor operations, and make adjustments as needed. · Monitor looms for quality defects during operations and ensure specifications are met. · Doff looms. · Creel cones of yarn · Threads yarn through guides, needles, and rollers for processing · Ties yarn splices at warp and creel changes · Operate the finishing machine and make adjustments as needed. · Monitor finishing machine for folds, and knots coming through. · Repair fold in steam cabinet. · Doff gaylord when needed in blocking or when full. · Complete all production paperwork at the end of the shift. · Operate blocker, monitor operations, and make adjustments as needed. · Make correct tape splices to remove defects in material. · Ensure safe working practices are followed. · Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment, including immediate work area, breakroom, and restrooms. · Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. · Attend all required employee meetings and trainings as scheduled by direct supervisor, management or administration. · Maintain individual skills and keep up to date with latest production and production required concepts. · Other duties as assigned by management. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS · High School Diploma, GED, or formal vocational training RECOMMENDED SKILLS · Self-motivated and safety conscious · Effective team member · Strong accuracy and attention to detail · Strong oral and written communication skills · Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills WORK ENVIRONMENT · Required to stand and walk for long periods of time. · Must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 lbs. · Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The environment maintains an increased noise level. · Schedule: Monday – Thursday, with the possibility of Voluntary/Mandatory overtime. Work schedules may shift in days and hours worked due to production demand.
