We are seeking a Textile Technician to join our team at Black Pear Weaving Ltd.

Black Pear Weaving produces ribbons for the mounting of medals.
This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, and is comfortable working in a factory environment. The Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery operates efficiently and safely in the factory as well as ensuring the weaving machines are producing top quality products.

REQUIREMENTS

• General textile / weaving background and experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.
• Interest in textile design, weaving machine maintenance, and setting up and tuning of textile machinery.
• Good organisational skills
• Effective team member
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Attention to detail
  If you have a passion for textiles, an eye for detail, and are interested in narrow fabric needle loom production, weaving, and machinery maintenance, or even factory production, we’d love to hear from you.
  Salary will be discussed at interview depending on skills and experience.

  Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: In perso

• Narrow fabric production, making sure production is to approved factory standards.
• Set up warpers, winders, and needle looms, involving tying in, looming in and mechanical tuning.
• Inspection of finished goods according to the procedures in place.
• Keep clear and orderly records of all sampling and bulk production within the factory.
