Package Description

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Information and Web Officer would look like this:
Your day will start with some database work ensuring our Ofsted childcare records are up to date and correctly imported into our main system. At 10am you will log-on to our phone system and handle queries on our Family Information Service helpline. These queries will cover a wide range of issues from helping parents find childcare, to dealing with complaints from people who maybe cannot use our online service. You will triage queries, feedback and complaints with sensitivity and a commitment to getting the customer to the right place, first time.
In the afternoon you may be assigned some outdated web content to update. You will ensure that the language is clear and easy to understand as well as being jargon-free and written for the correct audience. On your task list for tomorrow will be speaking to a busy manager in one of our social care teams to help her convert a complicated guidance note from the DfE into easy to understand web content aimed at parents. You will also speak to a school who uses out traded web support service about updating content on their website.
Our phone line closes at 3pm, so you take advantage of our flexi-time policy to leave an hour earlier than normal, knowing that you have the ability to make this time up later in the week.
