JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sanametrix is a minority-owned small business headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. We specialize in providing focused research and analysis, technology, and program support solutions to federal agencies.
We are seeking a Web Designer/Developer to analyze, design, and develop layouts and overall aesthetics of a variety of websites and applications for a major program office at a federal civilian agency. This role requires a confident, creative problem-solver who can apply modern user experience practices to complex content workflows, legacy systems, and both public facing and internal only tools. The candidate should be able to think strategically, while rolling up their sleeves to troubleshoot and collaborate across disciplines.
The ideal candidate is an experienced web professional, has a deep understanding of content and web technologies, a good eye for clean and effective UI, and the ability to drive results in a fully remote environment.
This is a full-time, 100% remote role. Meetings and collaboration align with East Coast business hours.
What Sets This Role Apart
This isn’t just a technical leadership role. You’ll be the strategic glue that holds content, development, compliance, and user experience together. You’ll balance the urgency of daily operations with the foresight needed to improve legacy systems, support a high-performing team, and uphold mission-critical federal standards. Your leadership will be key to making sure every update, every page, and every project moves the mission forward.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in web development, digital communications, or related field
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (6C) clearance.
· 6+ years of professional experience in web operations, content management, or digital project management
· Strong, hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accessibility standards (Section 508)
· Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Drupal
· Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
· Working knowledge of SQL and content-related data operations
· Experience working in and around legacy systems (e.g., Classic ASP, custom .NET environments)
· Adept user of custom ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Asana)

· Knowledge with federal digital standards related to accessibility, privacy, and consumer protection

Pay: $80,483.94 - $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Develop compositions for new product and page layouts, work with stakeholders and the team through the design process, and bring them from concept to fruition with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other available front-end web technologies.
· Review, refine, and implement web updates using HTML, CSS, Classic ASP, .NET CORE, and custom SQL scripts.
· Ensure compliance with federal regulations including Section 508 accessibility, privacy, and security standards.
· Evaluate existing products and systems to determine opportunities for UI and process improvement, communicate findings with related stakeholders, and implement all desired updates.
· Apply working knowledge of Drupal and other CMS platforms appropriate to the environment
· Manage workload through tools such as Jira, Asana, and custom ticketing systems.
