Description

Position: Web Designer
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Workplace: Hybrid. This position requires on-site work at our office for a minimum of 3 days a week. We will not accept applications from candidates seeking fully remote positions. (Please plan for full-time in-office for the first 4-6 weeks for onboarding and training)

We are looking for a Web Designer to be a part of Lift’s growing Nimble Digital team!

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-4 years of experience working with a team or agency in web design and front-end development
  • Experienced with Webflow as a primary tool for the delivery of websites
  • Deep understanding and experience with WordPress; front-end page builders, woo-commerce, and hosting environments
  • Familiarity with Shopify
  • Experienced with Figma or similar design and wireframe program
  • Experience building wireframes, and sitemaps
  • Understanding and experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Basic understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Critical thinker; ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Able to assimilate quickly into a fast-paced team environment
  • Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
Responsibilities
  • Develop sitemaps based on client needs
  • Conceptualize page layouts that promote simplicity and user friendliness
  • Create and interpret site maps to communicate layout and content structure
  • Implement brand based on design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Design engaging and responsive landing pages
  • Follow and adhere to the Nimble website building process, employing industry and design best practices throughout
  • Liaise with marketing and web team members to ensure project timelines and client expectations are being met
