POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer with a strong foundation in WordPress, Figma, and relevant design tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with JavaScript and a proven ability to create cohesive branding for digital products.
This is a full-time, remote position reporting directly to the Director of Data Services. Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ professional experience—co-op experience will also be considered. Individuals can apply from all over Canada, if you are applying from Quebec english proficiency is required.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience (co-op experience considered).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating website design, branding, and UI/UX work (portfolio link required).
• Proficiency in WordPress, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar tools).
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Design, develop, and maintain engaging websites using WordPress.
• Create and refine design systems, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure responsive, accessible, and user-focused designs.
• Integrate branding guidelines into all digital deliverables to maintain consistency.
• Use JavaScript to enhance functionality and interactivity.
• Conduct design reviews and optimize based on analytics and user feedback.
• Stay up to date on emerging design trends, tools, and best practices.
