Edelman Montreal is looking for a back-end developer to join Edelman’s Digital specialty. As a developer, you will work to help develop concepts and bring new ideas to life across a number of platforms, technologies and devices. This role will provide ongoing support for a number of internal projects, and client projects as required.
The successful Web Developer candidate will join Edelman Digital, the world’s largest global social agency and part of Edelman, the largest PR firm in the world

QUALIFICATIONS:



    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant field

    • Minimum of 1 year in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting web sites
    • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX and XML
    • Expereince with MYSql and PHP is a plus
    • Experience with Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
    • Good Understanding of Linux, Windows, IIS/Azure Server hosting environment is a plus
    • Skills and experience with popular frameworks and platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, NodeJS, React
    • Awareness of coding best practices for email templates, multilingual and accessibility
    Responsibilities


      • Help with drafting technical requirements and documentation

      • Oversee day-to-day development, communicate with development teams, review code, test and deploy applications
      • Build LAMP websites using a combination of open-source frameworks and APIs
      • Manage technical issues with deployed applications and servers including fixes and enhancements
      • Task estimation for maintenance and new projects
      • Liaise with project managers and/or tech leads to ensure work is efficiently and effectively delivered to clients
      • Integrate content using content management systems such as WordPress
      • Ongoing research for new and emerging technologies
