Job Description

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Web Developer to enhance the quality, consistency, and performance of the University’s digital presence. Reporting to the Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining websites and web-based applications that meet the needs of both internal stakeholders and external users.
You’ll be involved in the full development lifecycle—from consultation and design through to implementation and deployment. This includes working on application architecture, user interface and site layout design, database development, and .NET programming. You’ll also contribute to optimisation efforts and lead small to medium-scale web projects.
If you have a passion for creating user-focused digital solutions and enjoy working collaboratively across teams, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to design, build, and maintain dynamic web-based applications supporting academic programs, marketing operations, product management, and business systems integration.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end applications, APIs, and middleware solutions across various platforms.
  • Manage application infrastructure, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and configuration.
  • Oversee multi-environment deployment processes, testing procedures, and support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored system functionality across different server and database environments.
  • Work alongside design and marketing teams to ensure websites are engaging, SEO/SEM-optimised, and aligned with brand goals.
  • Lead improvement initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to technical documentation and reporting.
  • Develop responsive, mobile-friendly websites and applications using modern software architectures.
  • Collaborate across technology teams to deliver strategic digital and product solutions.
  • Help resolve technical challenges, define content standards, and support content creation and editing.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web development practices and tools, attending workshops and industry events.
  • Use customer feedback and testing insights to identify and resolve issues, improving the overall user experience.
