ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong proficiency in Shopify development (Liquid, themes, apps, and APIs).
  • Hands-on experience with Linnworks setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid knowledge of API development and integrations (REST, GraphQL, JSON, XML).
  • Experience with front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Familiarity with back-end scripting (PHP, Node.js, or Python desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good understanding of e-commerce workflows, particularly inventory and order management.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience with marketplace integrations (Amazon, eBay, Backmarket).
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and Shopify SEO apps.
  • Understanding of web analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, GA4, GTM).
  • UI/UX design experience.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining, customising, and optimising our Shopify website, ensuring smooth integration with our inventory and order management system (Linnworks), and developing API connections with third-party platforms. You will work closely with our operations, sales, and marketing teams to improve user experience, streamline workflows, and support business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, develop, and optimise the Shopify e-commerce site, including themes, apps, and custom features.
  • Implement and manage integrations between Shopify and Linnworks for product, inventory, and order synchronisation.
  • Develop and manage API integrations with marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, etc.), shipping providers, and other third-party platforms.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across web platforms and integrations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement SEO, UX/UI improvements, and conversion rate optimisation.
  • Monitor website performance, security, and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with e-commerce, Shopify, and API development best practices.
