JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an organized, ambitious Full Stack Web Developer to help develop and maintain our ecommerce platform and internal web applications. You’ll contribute to ensuring optimal site health and performance while collaborating with marketing on new campaigns and features. You’ll work with the internal Shades of Light development team as well as technology partners to support our online operations, build internal tools, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• 3-5 years of professional web development experience
• Proven expertise with web services and modern web technologies such as ViewJS, Angular, React, and NextJS
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows Server environments
• Strong foundation in frontend technologies: JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira
• Backend development skills with JavaScript or PHP experience preferred; additional server-side language experience (ASP.NET, Java, Ruby, Python) is a plus
• Cloud services experience preferred (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Database proficiency including SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached, Varnish)
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and prototyping
• Web server administration experience with Nginx or Apache in Linux environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively with internal teams, external teams, and third party vendors.
• Commerce Tools platform experience preferred but not required

• Develop and maintain web applications with strong focus on UI, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards
• Communicate cross-functionally with the IT Team, other corporate office departments, and 3rd party vendors
• Build and maintain web applications and internal tooling using JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks like React and NextJS
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within the ecommerce platform as they arise
• Understand security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
